Understanding R-Value Ratings

Insulated Curtains resist the flow of heat or cold into or out of a space. This resistance to heat/cold migration can be measured and assigned on R-Value. The type, density and thickness of the insulation determines an R-Value.

If the objective is to create a temperature barrier between two or more spaces, just let us know the desired temperature difference between the spaces and we can recommend the ideal thermal curtains for your facility.

As important as selecting the correct insulation level is the construction of the curtains and how well they fit into the existing structure. It is essential that the edges of the curtain panels seal to the floors, walls and ceiling to prevent airflow leakage.

Additionally, all of our soft thermal curtains provide some degree of sound dampening which will help lower the overall noise level in a loud space. We offer retractable and stationary insulated curtains in a wide range of R-Values. A few of the industries that benefit from our temperature separation curtains are: Distribution Centers, Powder Coating, Smelting plants and Refrigeration to name just few.

Our company installed a machine that is known for the generation of relatively high decibel readings. The readings were exacerbated by the location of the machine adjacent to a concrete block wall.
